Carlton 1790 9" Chipper
The Carlton 1790 chipper is built to withstand the punishment you dish out. From the heavy duty infeeders to the formed infeed, the Carlton 1790 is the most solidly constructed chipper on the market today. The Carlton Model 1790 wood chipper is the most versatile and powerful 9-inch disk style chipper available. The 1790 is portable enough to be pulled by a light duty pick-up truck, yet powerful enough to fill even the largest chip trucks. It incorporates several Carlton exclusive features like dual lift cylinders, Imron paint, 32-cubic-inch infeed motors and integrated reversing autofeed. The 88 hp turbo diesel Kubota engine powers massive 10Z\x x 17-inch feed rollers allowing the 1790 to easily chip 9-inch material continuously.
Carlton 1712 12" Chipper
The J.P. Carlton Model 1712 Wood Chipper provides an ideal balance of capacity, economy, and portability. At just 5500 pounds, the 1712 is easily towable by smaller chip trucks. The lightweight and compact size of the 1712 makes it highly maneuverable in tight places.
J.P. Carlton Model 1712 incorporates many design features to make it a highly productive 12-inch capacity chipper. The 48-inch by 28-inch infeed opening allows the 1712 to swallow tops with little or no trimming. The 10½-inch diameter feed rollers accept the wood with minimal fuss or wrapping.
The industry’s largest 32-cubic-inch displacement hydraulic feed motors provide the power to pull and collapse limbs and tops.
Tail Lights are protected by the infeed tray during chipping. Swivel Discharge allows the operator to fill the truck corner to corner, or easily direct the chips to a precise place on the lot.
Heavy Duty 1 ½” Feeder Bar 12″ x 17″ Throat Opening, easily handles the most difficult materials.
48″ Wide Feed Chute takes the big tops, requires less trimming by the crew!
Live Hydraulics run directly off the engine allowing the operator to engage all hydraulic functions without the disk being engaged.
74 HP Arborist Package Kubota Diesel, specifically designed for use on a chipper and includes: radiator debris screen, live hydraulic pump hook up, locking side panels, easy access air cleaner mounted to the rear of the engine to keep it as far away from the dust as possible.
Barreto Stump Grinder SG-30
DESIGN
An offshoot of the dependable TK track trencher, the 30SG stump grinder features a variant of the same time-tested track drive platform used by the TK series. The 30SG has a hydraulically-driven cutter wheel that is raised and lowered into the stump and then moved from side to side to cut down.
The 30SG power options consist of a 31hp Briggs and Stratton Vanguard V-Twin or a 26.5hp Kohler EFI engine. The engine is coupled to two gear pumps: the larger gear pump drives the cutter wheel and the smaller pump works the tilt and swing cylinders.
The tracks are driven by independent hydrostatic pumps mounted on the rear of the engine for easy access and simple linkage control. Counterbalance valves on each track drive prevent the track motors from slipping while the cutter wheel is engaged in the cutting process, even while operating on a slope.
CONTROLS
The cutter wheel operation and articulating arm are operated by controls mounted on the console. The cutter wheel is activated by a switch on the control stick and has a secondary safety switch to prevent accidental engagement. Back and forth movement across the stump, as well as depth of cut, are easily controlled by handles on the console, allowing for carefully controlled movement of the cutter wheel as it reduces the stump to chips.
ROI
All hydraulic drive to the cutter wheel eliminates costly belts. It also increases customer satisfaction by ensuring there is no loss of power because of a damaged belt or mechanical component. The track drive increases maneuverability around the job site, creating customer satisfaction by allowing them to get the job done with increased efficiency.
